Synopsis
Predator (NES) is a side-scrolling shooting game in which Major Dutch Schaefer avenges his team's death due to an unknown creature from another planet, known as the Predator. In the game, you go around collecting weapons, such as a machine gun, a grenade (pine), and a laser rifle. At the beginning of each level, you are equipped with your fists. You are able to punch army soldiers and other enemies, but you are not able to punch while in the crouching position. But there are enemies that weren't even in the movie, such as amoebas, seahorses, piranhas, and jellyfish. Some levels have no weapons in them, so you have to try to survive without dying. Falling in chasms mean instant death. If you die four times, the game is over. Though there are 30 stages in all, some stages are known as Big Modes. You have to dodge the purple and red spheres before they hurt you. As you get farther in the Big Mode, the Predator will appear. Return fire to advance to the next stage. As long as you are able to survive, you are able to battle the Predator in Stage 30.
