Raising Helen tells the story of Helen Harris (Kate Hudson), a successful career woman living her dream life in New York City. She works at a top modelling agency, attends fashion shows, and parties at the hottest clubs.
However, Helen's life takes a drastic turn when she receives a phone call that changes everything. She suddenly becomes responsible for her sister's three children: Audrey (Hayden Panettiere), Henry (Spencer Breslin), and Sarah (Abigail Breslin).
Despite being known as the coolest aunt in the city, Helen struggles with the new role of being a parent. She goes from super-hip to super-mom, learning that her late-night partying doesn't mix well with early morning school runs.
Throughout her journey, Helen receives unexpected support from Dan Parker (John Corbett), the handsome pastor and school principal. She also gets advice from her older sister, Jenny Portman (Joan Cusack), on how to navigate the challenges of raising children.
As Helen faces the choice between her old glamorous life and the new loves of her life, she discovers the true meaning of family and the importance of being there for those who need her.
