Rappin' is a 1985 American film directed by Joel Silberg. The movie follows the story of a young rapper named John Hood who is released from prison and returns to his old neighborhood in Los Angeles.
John Hood discovers that his old community is being threatened by a greedy developer who wants to tear down the local youth center and build a shopping mall in its place. Determined to save the center, John decides to use his rapping skills to raise money and rally the neighborhood to fight back against the developer.
As John Hood navigates the challenges of his past and present, he finds himself caught between his loyalty to his friends and his desire to make a better life for himself. With the help of his friends and the power of music, John Hood must find a way to save the youth center and protect his community from being destroyed.
