Synopsis

Return to the Blue Lagoon is a sequel to the film "The Blue Lagoon", with a different plot. The story begins with a ship discovering the craft with the original characters, Richard and Emmeline, dead and Paddy alive.

**Paddy is taken in by Sarah, a widow with an infant baby girl named Lilli. When the crew of the ship starts to die from cholera, Sarah, Richard, Lilli, and a healthy crew member are set adrift on a lifeboat to save their lives.

**As water and food run low, Sarah takes action to protect the children, eventually guiding them back to the island of the first film. Richard, now a teenager, recognizes the island as his home but is saddened by the absence of his parents.

**Sarah teaches the children survival skills and prepares them for life on the island. When she dies from pneumonia, the children are left more prepared than Richard and Emmeline were in the first film.

**Years later, a ship stops on the island and offers to take the children back to civilization. After a confrontation, Lilli finds herself pregnant and they decide to stay on the island, feeling that their life there is better than what civilization has to offer.
