Synopsis

Rock the Kasbah is a comedy film directed by Barry Levinson. The story follows Richie Lanz, a washed-up music manager who takes his last remaining client on a USO tour of Afghanistan.

When Richie finds himself abandoned in Kabul, he discovers a young girl with an incredible voice and decides to help her compete on the popular television show Afghan Star. Along the way, he encounters a colorful cast of characters, including a mercenary, a warlord, and a prostitute.

As Richie navigates the dangerous and unpredictable world of Afghanistan, he must confront his own demons and rediscover his passion for music. Rock the Kasbah is a heartwarming and hilarious tale of redemption and the power of music to bring people together.
