Synopsis

Solkongen is a Danish film directed by Hella Joof. The story follows the life of the successful and wealthy businessman, Harald, who suddenly finds himself facing financial ruin. In order to save his company, Harald decides to travel to Kenya to strike a deal with a powerful and mysterious businessman known as the "Sun King".

As Harald navigates the unfamiliar and dangerous world of African business, he must confront his own prejudices and preconceptions. Along the way, he forms an unlikely friendship with a local woman named Joy, who challenges his worldview and forces him to reevaluate his priorities. Together, they embark on a journey of self-discovery and personal growth.
