Synopsis

Rush Hour is a 1998 action comedy film directed by Brett Ratner and starring Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker. The film follows a Hong Kong police officer (Chan) who travels to Los Angeles to help the FBI rescue the kidnapped daughter of a Chinese diplomat. He is paired with a fast-talking LAPD detective (Tucker) who is initially reluctant to work with him.

As they investigate the case, the two mismatched partners must overcome their cultural differences and language barriers to track down the criminals responsible for the kidnapping. Along the way, they find themselves in a series of dangerous and hilarious situations that test their skills and their friendship.

Rush Hour was a commercial success and spawned two sequels, with Chan and Tucker reprising their roles. The film is known for its blend of action and comedy, as well as the chemistry between its two leads. It remains a beloved classic in the buddy cop genre.
