Synopsis

Second Act is a comedy film that follows the story of Maya, a 40-year-old woman who is frustrated with her unfulfilling job at a big box store. Despite her years of experience and dedication, she is passed over for a promotion in favor of a younger candidate with a college degree.

Feeling defeated, Maya's best friend Joan creates a fake resume and social media profile for her, embellishing her qualifications and background. To their surprise, Maya lands a high-paying job at a prestigious cosmetics company based on these false credentials.

As Maya navigates her new role and tries to keep up the facade, she learns valuable lessons about authenticity, self-worth, and the importance of honesty. Along the way, she also discovers unexpected connections with her new colleagues and finds herself in a love triangle with two handsome suitors.
