In Sem Controle Eduardo Moscovis is Danilo, a stage director obsessed with the injustice committed against the 19th century farmer Manoel da Motta Coqueiro, a case that started the process of extinction of the death penalty in Brazil. Goaded on by a beautiful and mysterious woman, Danilo makes a fateful decision. He puts on a play about the case with himself as Motta Coqueiro and psychiatric patients playing all the other parts. When the borders between reality and fantasy begin to blur, Danilo relives the historical events in the first person, all the while aware of the tragic fate of his character.
