Synopsis

Aileen: Life and Death of a Serial Killer is a documentary film that explores the life and crimes of Aileen Wuornos, one of America's most notorious female serial killers.

The film delves into Wuornos' troubled childhood and the events that led her to a life of prostitution and murder. Through interviews with Wuornos herself, as well as with law enforcement officials and psychologists, viewers gain insight into the psychological and emotional turmoil that drove her to commit her heinous crimes.

Wuornos was convicted of killing seven men in Florida between 1989 and 1990, and was ultimately sentenced to death. The documentary follows her final days on death row, as she reflects on her life and crimes and comes to terms with her impending execution.

Aileen: Life and Death of a Serial Killer offers a chilling look into the mind of a serial killer and raises important questions about mental illness, trauma, and the criminal justice system.
