Shadrach

Synopsis

Shadrach is a story about a young boy named Paul who is sent to live with his grandparents in the rural South during the Great Depression. Paul befriends a former slave named Shadrach who is now living in poverty. Shadrach tells Paul about his life as a slave and the hardships he faced.

As Paul learns more about Shadrach's past, he begins to understand the injustices that African Americans have faced throughout history. He becomes determined to help Shadrach find peace and closure in his final days.
