Sing Street tells the story of sensitive teenager Conor in early-1980s Dublin, where everyone is moving to the beat of Pop music. Conor struggles with a tense family relationship, reconnects with his older brother Brendan, and faces a hostile environment in his new public school.
One day, Conor sees Raphina, a tall, enigmatically beautiful girl with long chestnut hair and big, dark eyes standing in front of the school's gate. To get noticed by Raphina, Conor enlists the help of a group of teenage dreamers to form a band.
With every lyric Conor writes, the gap between him and Raphina narrows. And with every song he plays, her heart brims over with affection. Now, faced with a sea of opportunities, what does the future hold for this brave love?
