Synopsis

Some Kind of Heaven is a documentary film that takes place in The Villages, the largest retirement community in the United States. The film follows the lives of four residents as they navigate the ups and downs of life in this unique community.

The Villages is known for its vibrant social scene, with countless clubs and activities for residents to participate in. However, Some Kind of Heaven reveals that not everything is as perfect as it seems on the surface.

One of the residents featured in the film is a widow named Barbara, who is struggling to find her place in The Villages after the death of her husband. Another resident, Dennis, is a recent divorcee who is looking for love in all the wrong places.

The film also follows Anne and Reggie, a couple who are facing financial difficulties and are at odds over how to move forward. As the residents grapple with loneliness, loss, and the challenges of aging, Some Kind of Heaven offers a poignant look at life in a retirement community.
