Synopsis

After his release from prison, Zeki Müller is back at his old school, Goethe Gesamtschule, where he takes on a new role as a substitute teacher. His unconventional teaching methods and streetwise attitude quickly make him a favorite among the students.

However, when the school's new principal, Gerster, discovers Zeki's criminal past, he sets out to get rid of him once and for all. In order to save his job and protect his students, Zeki must come up with a plan to outsmart Gerster and prove that he is a changed man.

As Zeki navigates the challenges of teaching and dealing with the school's administration, he also finds himself falling for the school's new English teacher, Lisi. Together, they must work together to overcome obstacles and ensure that the students of Goethe Gesamtschule have a bright future.
