Synopsis

Shipwrecked off the coast of Africa and marooned in the heart of the vast, unforgiving jungle, orphaned John Clayton, Jr., the infant son of Lord and Lady Greystoke, is rescued and adopted by the compassionate, childless ape-mother, Kala, who names the boy Tarzan.

Reared in the bosom of his new family of gorillas, the young ape-man learns the ways of the forest and grows into an intelligent member of the simian community.

Then, the beautiful Englishwoman, Jane Porter, sets foot in the tangled, green realm, along with her scientist father, Professor Archimedes Porter, and Esmeralda, their housekeeper, and unprecedented feelings of affection start to emerge.

Will fearless Tarzan of the apes unearth the secret of his identity, and in the process, discover his true destiny?

Donna Miller
1/10

The soundtrack of Tarzan of the Apes failed to capture the essence of the African setting, with generic and uninspired tribal rhythms that lacked authenticity.

Donna Davis
3/10

The music did not effectively convey the emotional depth of the characters' journey, feeling disconnected and shallow, failing to evoke any genuine sentiment in the audience.

Steven Jones
7/10

The soundtrack of Tarzan of the Apes perfectly captures the lush and adventurous atmosphere of the jungle setting. The use of tribal rhythms and exotic instruments creates a sense of mystery and excitement.

Emily Hall
8/10

I appreciate how the music in Tarzan of the Apes effectively conveys the emotional depth of the characters' journeys, from Tarzan's upbringing among the gorillas to his discovery of his true identity and destiny. The sweeping orchestral compositions enhance the storytelling and draw the listener into the world of the film.

Steven Wilson
1/10

The use of traditional African instruments was superficial and stereotypical, lacking in nuance and cultural sensitivity, reducing the impact of the music on the overall storytelling.

Patricia Hall
1/10

The score did not enhance the sense of adventure and wonder in the jungle setting, missing the opportunity to create a rich and immersive musical landscape for the audience to experience.

Deborah King
2/10

Overall, the soundtrack of Tarzan of the Apes fell short of expectations, failing to elevate the film and leaving a sense of missed potential in its wake.

Lisa Lee
6/10

On the other hand, some of the musical motifs in the soundtrack of Tarzan of the Apes feel repetitive and predictable. While the jungle themes are fitting, they can become monotonous over time and lack the depth needed to elevate the emotional moments in the story. A more varied and dynamic score could have added layers of complexity to the overall listening experience.

Nancy Roberts
5/10

The soundtrack of Tarzan of the Apes effectively captures the wild and adventurous spirit of the jungle setting. The use of tribal rhythms and natural sounds creates an immersive atmosphere that enhances the storytelling. The music reflects the emotional journey of Tarzan as he navigates his dual identity and searches for his true place in the world.
