Synopsis

Tenderness

In the novel "Tenderness" by Robert Cormier, we follow the story of Eric Poole, a teenage boy who has just been released from a juvenile detention center after serving time for the murder of his mother and stepfather. Despite his troubled past, Eric is determined to start fresh and live a normal life.

However, Eric's plans are disrupted when he meets Lori, a young girl who has also experienced trauma in her life. As the two form a bond, Eric's dark past threatens to resurface and put their relationship in jeopardy.

As Eric and Lori navigate their complicated feelings for each other, they must confront their own demons and decide if they can find true happiness together.
