The Banker
In the movie The Banker, two African American entrepreneurs, Bernard Garrett and Joe Morris, decide to take on the racially oppressive establishment of the 1960s by helping other African Americans pursue the American dream of owning their own homes and businesses.
They do this by using a white man, Matt Steiner, as the face of their real estate and banking business, while they pull the strings behind the scenes. Their plan is successful, but they soon face challenges as their success attracts the attention of the authorities.
As they navigate the complexities of their business and personal lives, Bernard and Joe must fight to protect their achievements and their freedom in a society that is not ready to accept their success.
