Synopsis

The Belly of the Whale

In this modern-day fable, two teenage boys steal a car and embark on a road trip that will change their lives forever. When their stolen vehicle breaks down in the middle of nowhere, they find themselves stranded in a small town with no money and no way to get home.

Desperate and out of options, the boys are taken in by a local pastor who offers them a place to stay in exchange for doing odd jobs around the church. As they work to earn their keep, they begin to form a bond with the pastor and the other members of the community.

But just as they start to feel at home, a dark secret from their past threatens to tear them apart. As they struggle to come to terms with their past mistakes, they must decide whether to continue running from their problems or face them head-on.

The Belly of the Whale is a powerful story about redemption, forgiveness, and the healing power of community. It reminds us that no matter how far we may have strayed, there is always a way back home.
