Synopsis

The Brown Bunny is the story of one man named Bud Clay, a motorcycle racer in the 250cc Formula II class of road racing. He races around and around, repeating laps until the race is over.

The story begins with Bud racing in New Hampshire, with his next race scheduled in California in five days. His cross-country journey begins as he is haunted by memories of his true love, Daisy.

Every day, Bud tries to make those memories disappear by seeking new love, making outrageous requests of women to come with him on his trip and then leaving them behind after they've agreed. He can't replace Daisy, the only woman he's ever loved and will ever love, but he continues to try every day.
