The Hottie & the Nottie is a romantic comedy film that follows the story of a man named Nate Cooper who has been in love with his childhood friend, Cristabel Abbott, since they were kids. Nate decides to track down Cristabel after years of being apart, only to find out that she is now a successful and beautiful woman.
However, there's a catch - Cristabel refuses to date anyone unless her unattractive best friend, June Phigg, also finds a boyfriend. Nate takes on the challenge and tries to set June up with various men in order to win Cristabel's heart.
As Nate spends more time with June, he starts to see her true beauty and realizes that she is the perfect match for him. In the end, Nate must choose between the superficial beauty of Cristabel and the inner beauty of June.
