Synopsis

The Laundromat

In The Laundromat, Ellen Martin's dream vacation takes a wrong turn when her husband dies in a boat accident. As she tries to uncover the truth behind the insurance scam that left her without compensation, she discovers a web of corruption that leads to the Panama City law firm Mossack Fonseca.

Directed by Steven Soderbergh, this film is based on the true story of the Panama Papers leak, which exposed the illegal activities of the world's elite in hiding their wealth in offshore accounts. Through a series of interconnected stories, The Laundromat explores the consequences of greed and corruption on a global scale.

Starring Meryl Streep, Gary Oldman, and Antonio Banderas, The Laundromat is a dark comedy that sheds light on the dark underbelly of the financial world and the lengths people will go to protect their wealth.
