Synopsis

The Minus Man is a psychological thriller film directed by Hampton Fancher, based on the novel by Lew McCreary. The story follows a mysterious drifter named Vann Siegert, played by Owen Wilson, who arrives in a small town and begins a series of seemingly random murders.

As Vann ingratiates himself with the locals, including a married couple played by Brian Cox and Mercedes Ruehl, he continues his killing spree without raising suspicion. However, a young woman named Ferrin, played by Janeane Garofalo, begins to suspect that Vann may not be who he appears to be.

As Ferrin investigates Vann's past, she uncovers a dark and twisted history that sheds light on his motivations for the murders. The film explores themes of identity, morality, and the nature of evil, culminating in a tense and suspenseful climax.

The Minus Man is a thought-provoking and chilling thriller that keeps viewers on the edge of their seats until the very end.
