Synopsis

The plot is set in modern day Taiwan, where the story begins with a night market chef, Fen Qing, who is popular amongst Netizens for selling an economical / value for money version of shrimp curry burgers watching news about Huo Ting En, who is an exemplary chef, and heads a fine dining restaurant, La Mure, both chef and the restaurant are extremely popular.

Huo Ting En is a kind hearted, compassionate, good looking, rich, talented, chivalrous, meticulous and successful man, which makes him an ideal man. He is holds a fancy French culinary degree, is extremely committed to his work and pushes himself beyond limits to satisfy his customers. On the other hand, Fen Qing is a naive, simple, hardworking girl who comes from exactly the opposite family background. However, like Huo Ting En she is passionate, ambitious and kind hearted. Her life revolves around her mother, brother, and other vendors from the night market who she calls her family.

As the story progresses, they come together to be a perfect match, because while Huo Ting En brings stability to Fen Qing's life and helps her achieve her dreams - to reclaim the 'curry king' title her father once possessed. Fen Qing on the other hand, fills Huo Ting En's life with love, passion and helps him overcome his past tragedies/ painful memories.

The first encounter between Huo Ting En and Fen Qing at the night market, turns into the 7 days challenge, where Ting En recognized Fen Qing's potential and agrees to accept Fen Qing as an apprentice. As the story progresses, they both get closer through their mutual love for cooking. They also encounter a series of life challenges that eventually strengthens their relationship. Ranging from Huo Ting En and Fen Qing's fake engagement, to they living in together, to Fen Qing becoming director of Huo Ting En family owned company, to the unknown connections between their families, and even their break up. This drama has some interesting twists all along.
