Synopsis

"Two Bits" is a heartwarming story about a young boy named Gennaro who is determined to earn enough money to see a movie with his friends. Set in 1933 Philadelphia, Gennaro's mother is bedridden with tuberculosis, and his father works long hours at the local shipyard. Gennaro's only source of income is from collecting and selling newspapers for "two bits" (25 cents). Despite facing challenges and obstacles, Gennaro's determination and resilience shine through as he navigates the streets of Philadelphia in pursuit of his goal. Through his journey, Gennaro learns valuable lessons about hard work, perseverance, and the importance of family. "
