Synopsis

'Why They Fight' is a film about two fighters from two very different worlds. This short follows two MMA fighters in their training and daily life as they prepare to fight each other. Samad Mobley - 27 - From Montclair, New Jersey, Mobley trains in a small gym, with a punching bag, a sparring partner and dedication. He fights for the sport, for the hobby and for something to do. Brian Kelleher - 24 - A native of Long Island, Brian trains in a state of the art gym with hundreds of bags, state of the art equipment, 3 sparring rings and a plethora of coaching. He is in it with the hope of some day turning pro, and to some day make 'the real money.'
