Synopsis

Dutch rock singer, drug addict and sex addict Herman Brood probably never outgrew his mean-spirited native bar scene in Groningen, hadn't it been publican Koos van Dijk who had neglected his pub and wife to become Brood's devoted manager? , even supplying drugs? They form a band, Brood and his Wild Romance, mostly more trashy punks, but slowly build a reputation for themselves and after replacing losing musicians they release a record, funded in large part by Koos's conservative pa. Now Brood decides to aim for the top, the most exclusive club in New York. Herman almost misses out on a steady relationship, but an overdose saves his career.
