Winter Brothers is a Danish-Icelandic drama film directed by Hlynur Pálmason. The film follows two brothers, Emil and Johan, who work in a limestone factory in a remote part of Denmark.
Emil is a socially awkward and introverted man who struggles to connect with others. He becomes increasingly isolated as he tries to navigate the harsh winter landscape and the toxic masculinity of his workplace.
Johan, on the other hand, is more outgoing and charismatic, but he also has his own demons to battle. As tensions rise between the brothers and the other workers at the factory, their relationship is put to the test.
As the brothers grapple with their own inner turmoil and the external pressures of their environment, Winter Brothers explores themes of alienation, masculinity, and the struggle for connection in a harsh and unforgiving world.
