Synopsis

Terry est le testeur en chef de voitures pour Emery Motors et Frank est un ingénieur. Jane vient d'être embauchée pour travailler dans la publicité. Frank et Terry veulent tous les deux que Jane soit leur petite amie. Terry a conçu un nouveau carburateur qui devrait lui apporter la gloire et l'argent, mais il ne parvient pas à le faire fonctionner correctement. Terry et Gadget l'ont testé pendant plus d'un an, mais il n'est toujours pas parfait. Emery Motors assigne Frank pour aider Terry avec le carburateur, mais Terry n'est pas content car Frank est un ingénieur et il courtise également Jane. Ils terminent le carburateur et, pour le tester, ils inscrivent une voiture à la course d'Indianapolis 500. Terry n'est pas encore satisfait du carburateur avant la grande course même s'il a passé tous les tests.
