Sinossi

On the brink of the new millennium, a young couple in love--Andreas, a financially-pressed owner of a small mini-market, and Stella, an aspiring singer--struggle to survive amid rampant unemployment, and closed doors.

Under those circumstances and motivated by her fervent desire to succeed, Stella leaves Athens for the seedy nightclubs of the rough Greek province, bent on getting her big break to finally rise to stardom.

Instead, the hopeful star will gradually drift away from her cause, entangling herself more and more into an obscure realm of milky-white cigarette smokes, decayed divas, grievous temptation--and ultimately--broken hopes, and shattered dreams.

Will Andreas take Stella's decision lying down? Can he save her from the tangible threat of violence?
