Sinossi
Un film su un uomo con una storia rivoluzionaria della Polonia sullo sfondo. Edward Gierek è una delle figure più importanti del XX secolo nella memoria collettiva del popolo polacco. Anche se è in linea con notabili come Giovanni Paolo II, Jozef Pilsudski o Lech Walesa, l'industria cinematografica non lo ha ancora notato. Janusz Iwanowski e Jolanta Owczarczyk, produttori, hanno deciso di colmare questa lacuna. Il film è ambientato negli anni 1970-1982, quando Edward Gierek diventa Primo Segretario del Comitato Centrale del PZPR (Comitato Centrale del Partito dei Lavoratori Uniti Polacchi) fino al suo internamento. Non sarà un film politico. Il pubblico vedrà Edward Gierek dietro le quinte del suo potere politico. I rapporti familiari che non hanno mai visto la luce sono una parte essenziale di questa storia.
