Sinossi

I Freelings sono una tipica famiglia suburbana. Il marito Steve vende immobili nel loro quartiere in continua espansione e Diane è una mamma casalinga che si occupa dei loro tre figli, Dana, Robbie e la piccola Carol Anne.

Cose strane iniziano a succedere in casa, però: le porte dei mobili si aprono da sole, i mobili si riorganizzano da soli e le sedie scivolano sul pavimento della cucina. È un po' di stravaganza all'inizio, ma presto diventa mortale seriamente quando Carol Anne scompare in un mondo inferiore dove, stranamente, può essere comunicata solo attraverso il rumore bianco sulla loro televisione.

Un team di investigatori paranormali si trasferisce nella casa, ma le forze che hanno rapito sono malvagie e potenti, richiedendo i servizi di Tangina, una donna che ha già affrontato questa situazione in passato.
