Synopsis

A Brighter Summer Day is a Taiwanese film directed by Edward Yang. The film is set in Taipei in the early 1960s and follows the story of a group of teenagers who are caught up in the turmoil of political and social change. The main character, Xiao Si'r, is a troubled teenager who becomes involved with a street gang and falls in love with a girl named Ming.
