Synopsis

A legényanya is a Hungarian film directed by Károly Makk. The story follows a young woman named Kata who becomes pregnant out of wedlock. She decides to keep the baby and raise him on her own, despite the disapproval of her family and society.

As Kata struggles to make ends meet and provide for her son, she meets a man named Jóska who offers her a chance at a better life. However, their relationship is complicated by Jóska's own personal demons and the societal expectations placed on them.

Throughout the film, Kata's strength and determination are put to the test as she navigates the challenges of being a single mother in a judgmental world. The story explores themes of love, sacrifice, and the resilience of the human spirit.
