A White, White Day
Isolated widower Ingimundur (Ingvar Sigurdsson) makes a delayed attempt to reconstruct some semblance of life following the haunting loss of his beloved wife. Unable to directly confront his heartache, he takes time off from his post as police chief. He reluctantly works with a therapist, invests his formidable energy into his devoted granddaughter Salka, and works to convert a farmstead into a new home to support her and his troubled daughter. When unpacking his late wife's belongings, he makes a discovery that releases an avalanche of grief with the power to destroy his reputation and the relationships that took a lifetime to build.
