Synopsis

This show was one of many attempts to produce an American version of the hit British comedy "Fawlty Towers." Amanda, struggling owner of Amanda's by the Sea, is trying to keep her head above water despite her staff seemingly doing their best to pull her under. Her son is fresh from hotel-management school and full of more theory than experience; his wife would rather be back in the city; and the bellhop Aldo's homeland is a mystery, but English was definitely not spoken there.
