Synopsis

Boy Erased follows the Eamons family, whose lives revolve around their evangelical beliefs and their son Jared, an eighteen-year-old freshman at a Christian college.

Initiated by an unfounded accusation, Jared is sent to a conversion therapy assessment camp by his parents, under the direction of Victor Sykes.

Jared's recent past is revealed in flashbacks, showing his outwardly straight-laced existence and his struggles with his own internal feelings.

As Jared tries to tell his truth and find his own path, the question arises whether he will be allowed to pursue it, especially if it goes against Victor or his parents.
