Synopsis

This is a story about what happens when you find your soulmate. A story about first love and last love. A story about the third President of Indonesia and the First Lady. A story about Habibie and Ainun.

Rudy Habibie is a genius aircraft expert with a big dream: to serve his country Indonesia by creating a flying truck to unite the nation. Meanwhile, Ainun is a young and intelligent doctor with a bright career path ahead of her.

In 1962, these two friends (or enemies) from junior high school meet again in Bandung. Habibie instantly falls in love with Ainun, who is as sweet as white sugar to him. But Ainun, she not only falls in love, she believes in Habibie's vision and dream. They get married and fly to Germany.

Having a dream is never easy. Habibie and Ainun know that. Their love grows on the journey to achieve their dreams. The cold of German snow, sacrifices, pain, loneliness, and the temptations of wealth and power when they return to Indonesia accompany the journey of two lives becoming one.

For Habibie, Ainun is everything. Ainun is the eyes to see his life. For Ainun, Habibie is everything, the love in her life. But every story has an end, every dream has a limit. Then at one point, these two soulmates realize; Will their love be able to last forever?
