Synopsis

"Hola, ¿estás sola?"

Girl (Silke) runs away from home, mainly because her father, an authoritarian and unloving man, neither understands nor wants her. She leaves with nothing but the clothes on her back, not knowing what to do with her life. She sneaks onto a train, where she meets Trini (Candela Peña), who is older and more accustomed to a wandering and disorganized life, as her only family member, her mother, has just died. After several events, they rent an unfurnished apartment in Madrid. There, they meet Pepe (Álex Angulo), a middle-aged balding unemployed man, and the handsome Olaf (Arcadi Levin), a young Russian on vacation, with whom they can barely communicate because he doesn't speak Spanish, and doesn't need to. Olaf overstays in their apartment, claiming to have hooked up with Girl, and lives there for free, much to Trini's dismay. He doesn't pay anything, doesn't even clean or contribute to food. Girl and Trini argue over this. One day, Olaf disappears without notice.

Through Pepe, and despite their anger towards each other, they are offered the opportunity to open a beach bar in Costa del Sol. Mariló (Elena Irureta) is the organizer. Trini and Girl work hard and manage to make the place successful, quickly making a lot of money. One day, Olaf shows up at the café with some friends. His lifestyle has changed, he dresses well, and he doesn't recognize Girl or Trini. That night, the girls face another setback: Mariló refuses to share profits or pay them a salary, claiming that they need to save for the winter months when the pub will be closed, pay suppliers, rent accommodation for the girls, etc. She only wants to continue providing them with meals. Furious, Girl steals the cash register that night and leaves with Trini.

They return to Madrid, hoping to rebuild their lives.
