Synopsis

Intervista is a film that takes place at Cinecitta, the famous movie studio outside Rome, as it celebrates its 50th anniversary. The legendary director Federico Fellini is starting production on his latest film, and a Japanese TV crew is there to interview him about his past works at the studio.

A young actor portrays Fellini arriving at Cinecitta for the first time by trolley to interview a star. The iconic actor Marcello Mastroianni appears dressed as Mandrake the Magician, floating by a window. Fellini, followed by the TV crew, takes Mastroianni to Anita Ekberg's villa, where they watch the famous Trevi fountain scene from La Dolce Vita (1960) on a sheet that appears and disappears as if by magic.
