Synopsis

Lincoln is a biographical drama film directed by Steven Spielberg. The movie follows the life of Abraham Lincoln, the 16th President of the United States, during the final months of the American Civil War.

The film focuses on Lincoln's efforts to pass the Thirteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution, which would abolish slavery in the country. Lincoln faces opposition from both sides of the political spectrum as he tries to navigate the complexities of wartime politics.

Daniel Day-Lewis delivers a powerful performance as Abraham Lincoln, capturing the president's intelligence, wit, and moral courage. The film also features an ensemble cast including Sally Field, Tommy Lee Jones, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
