Synopsis
Paula is a humble girl. The father, by specifications, sends her to the convent. She obeys, but her destiny is not to dedicate her life to God. D. João V has an unhappy marriage and does not have a convent of Odivelas that he chooses as a friend. When he meets Paula, he falls head over heels in love.
