Synopsis

Mrs Lowry & Son is a biographical drama film that tells the story of the relationship between the famous British artist L.S. Lowry and his mother, Elizabeth. The film is set in Pendlebury, Greater Manchester, in the 1930s and 1940s.

The plot revolves around the daily life of the artist as he struggles to balance his passion for painting with his responsibilities towards his demanding and critical mother. Mrs Lowry is portrayed as a domineering figure who constantly belittles her son's artistic ambitions.
