Synopsis

"N (Io e Napoleone)" is a comedy film directed by Paolo Virzì. The story follows the life of Elba Island's inhabitants during Napoleon Bonaparte's exile. The film focuses on the character of Martino, a young man who believes he is the reincarnation of Napoleon. Martino's delusion leads him to believe that he is destined to bring back Napoleon's glory to the island. As Martino's obsession with Napoleon grows, he starts to mimic the French emperor's behavior and mannerisms. This causes chaos among the islanders, who are both amused and concerned by Martino's antics. The film explores themes of identity, delusion, and the impact of historical figures on contemporary society."
