On July 27, 1986, British Stadium Rock Band Queen broke new ground by playing for the first time in Hungary, a country still under a communist dictatorship behind the Iron Curtain. Hungarian Rhapsody: Queen Live in Budapest is a concert film of a performance by British rock band Queen in Budapest on July 27, 1986. It was part of the band's final tour with original singer Freddie Mercury, The Magic Tour . Queen were one of the few Western European bands to have performed in the Eastern Bloc during the Cold War. The film had a limited theatrical release worldwide on September 20, 2012. The Concert was released on DVD and Blu-ray for the first time on November 5, 2012 worldwide, excluding the United States, where it premiered a day later. The title of the concert is a play on Franz Liszt's Hungarian Rhapsodies and one of Queen's most famous hits, "Bohemian Rhapsody".
