Synopsis

Rat Film is a documentary that explores the relationship between humans and rats in Baltimore, Maryland. The film delves into the history of rat control in the city, as well as the social and economic factors that contribute to the rat population.

Through interviews with residents, exterminators, and scientists, Rat Film examines how rats have adapted to urban environments and the impact they have on communities. The film also touches on issues of race, class, and inequality, highlighting how certain neighborhoods are disproportionately affected by rat infestations.

Director Theo Anthony uses a mix of archival footage, animation, and interviews to create a thought-provoking and visually engaging film. Rat Film challenges viewers to reconsider their perceptions of rats and the ways in which society deals with pest control.
