Synopsis

Rough Play displays the life of Oh Young (Lee Joon), a young cocky actor who plays a lead part on a small play. He constantly goes off script and improvises, resulting in destroying the play because the lead actress can't handle it.

Oh Young knows he is a good actor and is noticed by manager Kim Jang-Ho (Seo Bum-Suk), who has hit rock bottom and is looking for a comeback. Jang-Ho recognizes the young actor's potential and puts all he has on the line to make Oh Young the next big thing.

However, the more famous Oh Young gets, he becomes more and more cocky, taking his career and the people close to him for granted. This movie will portray the downfall of a young cocky actor after reaching the top in his career.

5/10

The soundtrack of Rough Play effectively captures the rise and fall of the main character, Oh Young. The music reflects his initial confidence and talent as a young actor, setting the tone for his journey throughout the film.

Betty Phillips
6/10

Towards the climax of the movie, the soundtrack reaches a crescendo, emphasizing the consequences of Oh Young's actions and the impact on those around him. The emotional depth of the music enhances the storytelling, making the audience feel the weight of his downfall.

Lisa Walker
5/10

As Oh Young's ego grows along with his fame, the soundtrack subtly shifts to convey a sense of arrogance and entitlement. The music mirrors his character development, becoming more dramatic and intense as he spirals out of control.

John Lopez
3/10

The music choices in Rough Play felt generic and uninspired, failing to enhance the dramatic moments or elevate the overall viewing experience. The soundtrack seemed disconnected from the storyline, missing opportunities to create a more immersive and impactful cinematic experience for the audience.

Susan King
2/10

The soundtrack of Rough Play failed to capture the emotional depth and complexity of the main character's journey. It lacked the necessary intensity and gravitas to convey the inner turmoil and downfall of Oh Young convincingly.
