Synopsis

San Martín: El cruce de Los Andes

In the early 19th century, General José de San Martín led an army of Argentine and Chilean soldiers on a daring mission to cross the Andes mountains and liberate Chile from Spanish rule.

The journey was treacherous, with harsh weather conditions and difficult terrain posing constant challenges.

Despite these obstacles, San Martín's army persevered and successfully crossed the mountains, surprising the Spanish forces and ultimately securing victory in the Battle of Chacabuco.

This historic feat not only liberated Chile but also paved the way for the eventual independence of several South American countries.

San Martín's leadership and strategic brilliance during the crossing of the Andes solidified his place as a key figure in the fight for Latin American independence.
