Synopsis

Solarbabies is a 1986 science fiction film directed by Alan Johnson. The story is set in a post-apocalyptic world where water is scarce and controlled by a tyrannical regime known as the Eco Protectorate. A group of young orphans, known as the Solarbabies, discover a magical orb that gives them the power to control water.

As the Solarbabies try to evade the Eco Protectorate and survive in the harsh desert landscape, they must also confront their own personal demons and fears. Along the way, they form a bond with a mysterious woman named Darstar who helps them in their quest for freedom.
