Super Size Me

Synopsis

Super Size Me is a documentary film that explores the consequences of consuming fast food, specifically McDonald's, on a daily basis. Several legal suits have been brought against McDonald's Restaurants for selling unhealthy food knowingly.

Documentarian Morgan Spurlock conducts an experiment where he eats only McDonald's for thirty days, three meals a day. He must also super size his meal whenever offered and try every menu item at least once.

Before starting the experiment, Morgan is tested by three doctors who declare him to be in outstanding health. Throughout the thirty days, he is monitored to ensure his health is not irreparably damaged.

As he mimics the lifestyle of fast food eaters, Morgan limits his daily steps to under 5,000 and does not exercise. His vegan chef girlfriend predicts how the experiment will affect his mood and their relationship.

As Morgan progresses through the experiment, he speaks to various experts about the pros and cons of the fast food lifestyle. It becomes evident that even experts can be wrong, and not in a good way, just over halfway through the experiment.
