Synopsis

The American Dream is a series of 60-minute episodes, each telling the real-life story of professional athletes from around the wide world of sports. It is a human story about the real lives of legends in professional sports. In the first episode, we profile Tony Dorsett. He talks about his early life, family influences on his career, and the inception of a dream. He talks about what it took to achieve his dream, and the price he paid for infamy. Tony Dorsett of the Dallas Cowboys (1977-1987) was the second overall pick in the 1977 draft.
